Glitter
Glitter contains pioglitazone, a thiazolidinedione.
Product Information & Mode of Action :- Pioglitazone, an oral anti-hyperglycemic agent, is a potent and highly selective agonist for peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-gamma (PPAR). PPAR receptors are found in tissues important for insulin action such as adipose tissue, skeletal muscle, and liver. Glitter decreases insulin resistance in the periphery and in the liver resulting in increased insulin-dependent glucose disposal and decreased hepatic glucose output.
Indications :- Glitter is indicated, as an adjunct to diet and exercise, to improve glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes in monotherapy and also in combination with a sulfonylurea, metformin, or insulin.

Mefor/Metswift
Mefor contains Metformin
Product Information & Mode of Action :- Mefor decreases glucose production by the liver. The mechanism of action of metformin in liver involves insulin receptor activation, followed by selective insulin receptor substrate-2 activation, and increased glucose uptake via increased GLUT-1 translocation.
Indications :- Mefor is used for treating type II diabetes in adults and children. It may be used alone or in combination with other diabetic medications. Mefor also has been used to prevent the development of diabetes in people at risk for diabetes and to treat polycystic ovaries.
